Meeting of Directors and DEOs of Karachi
Today a meeting of Directors and DEOs of Karachi Division was held under the Chair of Mr. Ghulam Akbar Laghari, Secretary School Education and Literacy Department @ PITHM. Mr.Ghulam Akbar Laghari has briefed the forum regarding new amended recruitment policy and ambiguities of the forum. He also discussed updated progress of recruitment so far along with current vacancy position, induction training and the issues related to the recruitment. Mr. Zamir Ahmed Khoso DG HR , Mr. Kishore Kumar Deputy Director HR, Ms. Abida Lodhi DSE Primary , Mr. Shahid Zaman DSE ES&HS and DEOs of whole division have attended the meeting. Mr. Ghulam Akbar Laghari has directed to all the DEOs to submit the details of the candidates who have issued the PRC /form D after cut off date within two days and the schedule of these candidates to appear before committee, will be commenced from Monday 30-5-2022 insha'Allah. He has also directed them to fix responsibility of Taluka Education Officers to guide/ assist the newly teachers regarding further procedure of joining, norms & SOP's with friendly and mentoring approach. He also emphasized to reconcile the vacancy position of JEST and submit in HR office. The meeting ended with vote of Thanks from the chair.

Online E-Transfer
2nd Phase of E-Transfer for Teaching Staff is starting to improve Student Teacher Ratio (STR) from 01 September 2021 to 31 October 2021 by School Education & Literacy Department, Government of Sindh, Karachi. Teachers can register online and apply for their Transfer (District Wise or Region Wise).

School Visit
Mr. Ghulam Akbar Laghari, Secretary, School Education & Literacy Department along with Madam Tahseen Fatima DSE Secondary Karachi,DEO South Mr.Ghulam Hyder Blo, Mrs. Rafia Javed, Registrar and Mr. Akhlaq Ahmed, Monitoring Officer, Directorate of Inspection & Registration of Private Institutions visited the following Schools on 31st August, 2021. 1.GGSS Fazal ur Rehman District South, 2.St. Joseph Convent School,3.St. Patrick High School,4.St. Patrick Girls School, Saddar.5.Convent Jesus and Mary School, Clifton, Karachi. During the visit it was observed that COVID-19 SOPs were being fully implemented in the schools, the children were wearing masks. Social distancing among the children was also observed, hand sanitizer was available in each class room. The attendance of students at the schools were 50% of the total strength of the students. The Secretary, School Education & Literacy Department also checked vaccination cards of the teaching and non-teaching/ admin staff of the schools and found that all staff members have been vaccinated.

14th August (Independance Day)
We Celebrate 14th of August (Independance Day) Every Year, in this connection all of our District Education Officers make arrangements along with the Teachers and Students; to pay tribute to Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah (R.A). We celebrate our National Day with complete prepearation all day at Mazar-e-Quaid as well as in the Schools. Our students and teachers present tableaus and arrange speech contests.
