The Directorate of School Education (Elementary Secondary & Higher Secondary) Karachi Region Karachi is working under the Administrative control of School Education & Literacy Department, Government of Sindh. 559 Boundary walled Schools, 519 Campus Schools, 36 Higher Secondary Schools, 428 Secondary Schools and 266 Elementary & Middle Schools smoothly running in Six (06) Districts of Karachi by delibrated and skilled 01 District Officer (DEO) for Each District, 18 Town Officers (TEO) Heamster/ Headmistresses, Teaching & Non-Teaching staff.
We have team of Qualified Teachers & Staff, School buildings with Playgrounds, well Equipped Computer & Science Labs, Elementary, Secondary & Higher Secondary + Early Childhood Education
Our Mission is to provide Quality-Education for every child. We are equipped with advanced teaching methods, latest Computer and Science Labs, New School Buildings including well furnished Class Rooms with Furniture and Play Grounds. OUR ORGANIZATION
District Wise Allocation
The Director Office.
Administration: The Administration Branch provides support for the staff and deals all kind of official matters. Deputy Director (Admn), Assistant Director are leading 03 dedicated branches (Admn-A For Male teachers, Admn-B For Female Teachers and Admn-D for Non-Teaching Staff)
Quality Assurance: Quality Assurance consists of A Deputy Director & Assistant Director with other necessary staff. This branch is dedicated for conducting trainings and skill based programs for the employees.
Planning & Development: This branch is dedicated for construction of School & Office Buildings, A Deputy Director along with Assistant Director and other team of skilled officials regularly pay visits and submit reports to the department.
Co-Curricular Activities: To make the students healthy and active; co-curricular activities are the most important elements. Our Co-Curricular branch consists of A Deputy Director, Assistant Director and other team memebers are role models for the students. This branch conducts arrangements in the schools to keep the students healthy.
Litigation Branch: This Branch consists of a Litigation Office and other team to handle Law and Litigation matters of the Directorate.

District Education Office (East): Consists of 01 District Education Officer and 02 Taluka Education Officers for Jamshed Town and Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town.
District Education Office (West): Consists of 01 District Education Officer and 04 Taluka Education Officers for Orangi Town, Baldia Town, SITE Town and Keamari Town.
District Education Office (South): Consists of 01 District Education Officer and 02 Taluka Education Officers for Saddar Town and Lyari Town.
District Education Office (Central): Consists of 01 District Education Officer and 04 Taluka Education Officers for Liaquatabad Town, North Nazimabad Town, New Karachi Town and Gulberg Town.
District Education Office (Korangi): Consists of 01 District Education Officer and 03 Taluka Education Officers for Korangi Town, Landhi Town and Shah Faisal Town.
District Education Office (Malir): Consists of 01 District Education Officer and 03 Taluka Education Officers for Malir Town, Gadap Town and Bin Qasim Town.
